MICROSCOPES AND ILLUMINATION

The dental microscope is an established technology that has become standard of care for endodontic treatment. It allows the endodontist to see in detail what is needed for adequate treatment, allowing magnification up to 25x.

CBCT IMAGING

Our office is equipped with the top-of-the-line J Morita® CBCT machine, Veraview X800 F40 PAN. The J Morita® X800 F40 PAN system delivers high-resolution 3D images, which illustrate the complex root canal system and important anatomic features with exceptionally low levels of radiation use.

The CBCT enables Dr. Khan to pre-operatively study and assess each case in great detail to provide the best treatment plan and delivery. Sometimes additional images are needed during treatment to guide the intricate nature of complex cases. If this is the case, your fee will not be increased..

Digital Radiographs

We use the most advanced X-ray and digital imaging technology to produce the highest quality images available, while minimizing levels of radiation exposure. This technology allows us to see the tooth and bone structure more clearly and quickly than traditional methods.

BIOCERAMIC MATERIALS

Bioceramic Materials are now available to help seal root canal systems and repair root canal structural defects. Bioactivity of the materials refers to its ability to interact with the body without causing toxic irritation and allowing an environment conducive to healing. TDO Software

We use TDO Software as it is considered the best endodontic software available. It is used to manage all patient records and information and has comprehensive modules that make our office paperless, a great convenience for our patients and referring dentists. The website integration allows our patients to securely access the site to complete the medical history and consent forms online before their appointment. The software allows our referring dentists to make referrals and receive their patients’ reports and imaging through a secured HIPAA compliant portal right after the patient is seen. This technology enables us to diagnose and treat our patients more efficiently and to communicate more effectively with both the patient and referring doctor that is secured and HIPAA compliant.

Statement on Sound Wave (acoustic streaming) and Laser Technologies Involved in Endodontic Treatment

Dr. Khan acknowledges the exciting developments using sound waves and lasers to aid in the cleansing and disinfection of root canal systems. However, Dr Khan feels that more high level of evidence and peer reviewed studies with longer term follow up data is needed before implementing this technology on his patients. He will continue to monitor these technologies and adapt as the research and development in these fields continues.
